Role overview
Supervise carpentry and joinery work in the workshop and on site.
Ensure fabrication and installation follow approved drawings, quality standards, and project deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Lead carpenters and helpers, assign daily tasks, and monitor progress.
- Transport assigned workers to site and return them at the end of the working day.
- Read approved shop drawings, specifications, and material schedules.
- Verify site measurements before fabrication and installation and report discrepancies to the technical office.
- Supervise fabrication and installation of doors, wardrobes, kitchens, cabinets, wall cladding, and other joinery.
- Check dimensions, finishes, alignment, hardware, and workmanship throughout production and installation.
- Plan manpower, materials, tools, and deliveries to meet project schedules.
- Coordinate with the project engineer, technical office, and other site trades.
- Control material waste and ensure safe use of tools and machinery.
- Report daily progress, labor allocation, material shortages, and site issues.
- Complete snagging and prepare finished work for inspection and handover.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Carpentry or Joinery Foreman.
- Strong practical knowledge of joinery fabrication, installation, materials, finishes, and hardware.
- Ability to read shop drawings and take accurate site measurements.
- Good leadership, planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Valid Qatar driving licence to transport assigned workers.
- Interior fit-out and joinery project experience in Qatar or the GCC is preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is QAR 3,500–8,500 per month.
