Role Overview
Roots Advertising is hiring a Carpenter for its fit-out and advertising team.
The role covers exhibition stand construction, interior fit-out, custom fabrication, installation, modification, and dismantling.
Core Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, layouts, and dimensions.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood and other carpentry materials.
- Construct exhibition stands, kiosks, counters, display units, partitions, platforms, and custom structures.
- Perform carpentry work for commercial fit-out and advertising projects.
Installation and Quality
- Carry out on-site installation, modification, repair, and dismantling of exhibition stands and fit-out works.
- Coordinate with production, site, and project teams to meet deadlines.
- Ensure work has good finishing and meets company quality standards and client requirements.
- Operate tools safely, report material shortages or technical issues, and maintain housekeeping and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a carpenter is required.
- Strong ability to read and understand technical and shop drawings is required.
- Knowledge of measurements, dimensions, levels, construction methods, tools, materials, and installation techniques is required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail is required.
- Willingness to work on site during exhibition build-up and dismantling periods is required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in exhibition stands, events, advertising, interior fit-out, or shopfitting is preferred.
- Experience with custom and temporary structures is advantageous.
- Ability to understand 3D drawings and construction details is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of partitions, flooring, and ceiling structures is advantageous.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 1,800 to AED 2,200 per month.
Workplace
- Work is performed in person in the workshop and on site.
