Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cargo Assistant to support cargo operations, including acceptance, documentation, handling, and delivery of goods.
The role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and adherence to safety standards.
Cargo Acceptance & Processing
- Receive, inspect, and prepare cargo and mail for air or land transport.
- Verify documentation and ensure compliance with airline/airport regulations.
- Mark, label, and physically check goods before dispatch.
Cargo Handling Operations
- Assist in build-up and breakdown of cargo pallets and containers.
- Direct and support porters and equipment operators in handling cargo.
- Ensure timely delivery of incoming cargo and mail.
Documentation & Customer Service
- Prepare airway bills, cargo manifests, and delivery notes.
- Coordinate with customers, freight forwarders, and airline staff.
- Handle queries related to cargo acceptance and delivery.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow safety and security procedures during cargo operations.
- Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety standards.
- Report hazards and maintain compliance with aviation regulations.
Skills & Requirements
- **Education:** Minimum secondary school (10th/12th pass); ITI or vocational training preferred.
- **Experience:** Prior cargo/logistics/aviation handling experience is an advantage.
- **Physical Ability:** Capable of lifting and handling cargo loads.
- **Technical Skills:** Knowledge of cargo documentation, warehouse systems, and equipment operation.
- **Soft Skills:** Teamwork, communication, and customer service orientation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED1,650.00 per month
