JOB PURPOSE

  • On Lok is seeking an experienced temporary employee to support the implementation phase of a grant-funded HIV Inclusive Caregiver Training Initiative focused on strengthening care for older adults, LGBTQ+ communities, and individuals aging with HIV. Foundational discovery work—including focus groups, caregiver interviews, and lived experience documentation—has already been completed in partnership with UCSF and UNLV. Building on this completed work, the Caregiver Training Curriculum Specialist will translate existing findings into a practical, pilot-ready training curriculum and toolkit for frontline caregivers. This role will work closely with On Lok Services leadership and collaborate across internal departments to develop high-quality learning content that advances culturally responsive, person-centered, trauma-informed, and HIV-inclusive caregiving practices. This is a time-limited, deliverables-focused role essential to meeting grant obligations by December 31, 2026
  • Review and synthesize findings from completed focus groups, caregiver interviews, vignettes, and discovery work conducted with UCSF and UNLV. • Collaborate with On Lok Services leadership and relevant internal departments to align curriculum content with workforce training priorities. • Design and develop caregiver training curriculum focused on HIV-inclusive care, LGBTQ+ affirming practices, aging with HIV, and trauma-informed caregiving. • Develop facilitator guides, participant workbooks, handouts, case studies, scenario-based learning activities, and competency tools. • Translate technical and clinical information into clear, practical training for frontline caregivers and program staff. • Prepare pilot-ready training modules for implementation with approximately 50 caregivers. • Revise curriculum materials based on leadership and stakeholder feedback. • Support preparation of a final training toolkit and sustainability recommendations. • Maintain timelines, documentation, and professional communication throughout the assignment.
