Care Companion (Attendant)

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise passengers and ensure their safety at all times during transport
• Assist individuals while boarding and exiting vehicles, including children, seniors, and passengers with special needs
• Provide support with seatbelts, booster seats, mobility aids, and safe street crossing where required
• Maintain order and enforce safety rules throughout the journey
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and provide basic first aid when needed
• Conduct basic safety checks and support vehicle/equipment readiness
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, parents, and relevant
• stakeholders regarding passenger behaviour or safety concerns
• Maintain cleanliness and order within the vehicle or assigned area
• Complete basic reporting, documentation, and incident logs accurately
• Participate in mandatory training programs including safety, first aid, and compliance updates
• Support additional operational duties as required

Candidate Profile

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm, patient, and able to handle sensitive or emergency situations
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and consistently
• Comfortable working in a physically active, on-the-move environment
• Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings or split shifts

Additional Requirements

• Training in child safety, first aid, and conflict resolution (preferred or provided)
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions
• Basic use of mobile devices and communication tools for reporting
