Cardiac Anesthesiologist

Overview

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive preoperative evaluations and develop individualized anesthetic plans tailored to cardiac patients
• Administer anesthesia during cardiac surgeries, including complex and high-risk procedures
• Monitor patients' hemodynamic status and vital signs using advanced techniques such as transesophageal echocardiography and invasive monitoring
• Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Manage intraoperative challenges and promptly address anesthesia-related complications
• Provide post-anesthesia care with effective pain management and monitoring during the recovery phase
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in cardiac anesthesiology and participate in continuous education

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Completion of an accredited residency in Anesthesiology
• Fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesia is preferred
• Valid medical license to practice anesthesia
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiac anesthesia
• Proficiency with invasive monitoring and cardiac anesthesia techniques
• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to perform under pressure and in complex clinical scenarios
