Position Summary
The Bakery Associate provides customer service, maintains and zones the bakery area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods.
The role supports bakery merchandise quality, presentation, and readiness for business.
What You'll Do
- Ensure the quality and visual appearance of bakery merchandise, including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
- Keep the bakery department fully stocked and ready for business.
- Ensure merchandise is properly signed and priced.
- Follow cold chain compliance, thermometer calibration, temperature recording, product rotation, sell-by-date, and expiration-date procedures.
- Follow food safety, food handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures.
- Follow procedures for ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labels.
- Prepare bakery merchandise according to thawing and baking guidelines.
- Secure all displays in a safe and proper manner.
Pay
- The minimum rate of pay starts at $18.05 per hour.
Minimum Qualifications
- Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
Primary Location
- The position is based at 15 Resolution Drive, Brampton, Ontario, Canada.
