Job Title: Calypso Developer - SSE (Mid-Senior)

Location: Dubai, UAE

Duration: Permanent, Fulltime

Experience: 5 to 10 Years (Mid)

Experience: 10 to 20 Years (Senior)

Experience:

Hands-on experience in implementing, configuring, and maintaining the Calypso system across multiple asset classes.

Extensive knowledge of Calypso architecture, APIs, and modules.

Proven experience in end-to-end (front-to-back) implementation of Calypso, including Risk Management System (ERS) with Limit and VaR setup.

Strong exposure to Fixed Income, Money Market, Interest Rate, FX, Credit Derivatives, and Non-linear Derivatives.

Technical & Functional Skills:

Strong understanding of Calypso architecture with hands-on experience in APIs (minimum version V15.2)

Proficient in Java (1.7 or higher) with solid knowledge of OOPS, Collections, and Multithreading

Experience with Oracle PL/SQL and good understanding of the Calypso data model

Familiarity with application servers (JBoss) and build tools (Gradle)

Hands-on experience with Open API integration patterns

Strong troubleshooting skills with understanding of network and server-level interactions of Calypso modules

Experience integrating Calypso with market/trade data interfaces (Bloomberg SAPI, TOMS, Reuters Feed, Deal Tracker).

Functional Expertise:

Strong experience in business analysis and system implementation within trading platforms

Good understanding of Fixed Income, FX Derivatives, Interest Rate Products, and Credit Derivatives

Experience in Credit & Market Risk, including ERS Limit setup and VaR configuration

Knowledge of Official P&L and accounting setup in Calypso

Strong understanding of market data and curve setup

Experience with Front Office and workstation configuration

Good understanding of Back Office operations (static data, messaging, transfers, settlements)

Knowledge of position configuration in Calypso

Familiarity with integration patterns such as Open API and Open Banking
