Responsibilities
- Answer a high volume of incoming patient calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
- Assist patients with questions regarding appointments, office policies, and general information
- Take accurate messages and communicate them to the appropriate staff
- Handle patient concerns and provide excellent customer service
- Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
- Document all calls and patient interactions accurately
- Follow office procedures, HIPAA requirements, and patient privacy standards
- Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure excellent patient care
Qualifications
- Previous call center, medical office, customer service, or healthcare experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional telephone etiquette
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times
