Oversee daily café operations, customer service, store performance, compliance with company standards, and sales and profitability targets.
Operations and customer service
- Manage daily operations and opening and closing procedures; maintain cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene.
- Monitor product quality and presentation and maintain a safe working environment.
- Deliver excellent customer experiences, resolve complaints, build customer relationships, and encourage repeat business.
Team management
- Supervise and motivate employees, conduct training and coaching, prepare schedules, and manage attendance.
- Ensure employees follow company policies and procedures.
Sales, costs, and inventory
- Achieve sales and profitability targets; monitor daily sales and labor costs.
- Control waste and operating expenses and drive sales through promotions and upselling.
- Manage inventory and stock ordering, count stock regularly, and minimize losses and product wastage.
Qualifications and experience
- Three to five years of café, restaurant, or hospitality management experience.
- Experience managing teams and café operations; knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Skills and competencies
- Leadership, people management, customer service, sales and business acumen, problem solving, decision making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Inventory and cost control management and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Performance measures
- Performance indicators include sales achievement, customer satisfaction, labor and food and beverage cost control, inventory accuracy, employee turnover and engagement, and health and safety compliance.
