The cafe seeks an articulate, detail-oriented cashier and counter host to manage transactions and front-counter customer service.
The role includes greeting guests, operating the POS system, handling payments, and assisting with menu recommendations.
Key responsibilities
- Greet customers at the counter and assist with ordering.
- Process cash, credit card, and digital payments accurately through the POS system.
- Balance the cash register and generate end-of-shift sales reports.
- Use menu knowledge to upsell desserts, specialty drinks, and promotions.
- Keep the cashier counter and surrounding displays clean, organized, and stocked.
- Coordinate with floor staff, baristas, and kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy.
- Handle guest questions and payment inquiries professionally.
Requirements and qualifications
- Previous cashier or front-counter host experience in hospitality or retail.
- Basic mathematical skills and confidence using POS systems and card terminals.
- Strong communication, customer-first service, integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a busy environment.
- Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends.
Pay
- Pay is AED 2,000–2,800 per month; the structured salary field states AED 2,000 per month.
