CAD Operator/Designer

Job Overview: The CAD Operator/Designer ensures that the design product and engineering deliverables conform to engineering design and customer specifications, preparing BOM (Bills of Material), and consulting with vendors on project related activities.

· Develops detailed drawings based on applicable specifications.

· Works order instructions under the supervision and direction of an Engineer.

· The Designer will also coordinate design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning group such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications.

· Must have a minimum of five (5) years of shipyard production experience.

· Must have the knowledge of AutoCAD/Ship Constructor.

· Basic computer skills using Microsoft applications (i.e., MS Excel, MS Word) is required.

· Experience or training in using computer-aided design software is a plus.

· Creating Ship Constructor models.

· Preforms supervised mark-ups.
