Role overview

Purchasing and supplier coordination

• Research and evaluate suppliers; solicit and compare quotations.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Place purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain accurate purchasing records.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure materials and services are available on time.

Cost, inventory, and quality

• Monitor market trends and assess cost-saving opportunities.
• Support inventory control to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues, maintain quality standards, and uphold ethical procurement practices.

Qualifications

• Strong procurement and sourcing abilities, including supplier research, quotation evaluation, and negotiation of pricing and terms.
• Experience with purchasing processes, purchase order management, and basic inventory control or stock monitoring.
• Analytical and numeracy skills for cost analysis, budgeting support, and data-driven decisions.
• Communication and collaboration skills for working with vendors, finance, and cross-functional teams.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle requests, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
• Comfort using office productivity tools and procurement software or ERP systems; ability to work independently in a hybrid environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred background

• Prior experience in purchasing, supply chain, or a related field is beneficial; familiarity with the UAE market is an advantage.
• Relevant education in business, supply chain, finance, or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
