At Lam, as a Buyer, you play a pivotal role in our procurement process. You analyze purchase requirements and coordinate purchasing activities across departments to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of inventory. You'll support the processing purchase requisitions, change orders, and the requests quotation (RFQs) from suppliers. Engaging in cost analysis and volume planning within our enterprise-wide systems (ERPs), you negotiate for the best value and explore new supply sources for cost savings. Your expertise ensures Lam's procurement remains efficient and competitive on a global scale.

Review, analyze and process purchase requisitions and quotations for materials, components, capital equipment and services.

Manage purchase orders and changes based on demand.

Understand, maintain, and report weekly KPIs.

Maintain records of suppliers, materials, prices, delivery dates and inventories.

Manage purchase order (PO) releases to meet demand requirements.

Build key supplier relationships to review open action items, performance, demand forecast, and cost reductions.

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field with 2+ years of experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent experience.

Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).

Working knowledge or experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other procurement-related tools.

Communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
