Butler – Luxury Private Family

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional and personalized service to the family and guests.
• Welcome and attend to guests in a polite, respectful, and professional manner.
• Serve food and beverages according to luxury hospitality standards.
• Set up dining tables for daily meals, formal dinners, private gatherings, and special occasions.
• Coordinate with the Chef regarding meal timings, service requirements, and guest preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness, order, and presentation of dining areas, service areas, pantry, and guest areas.
• Assist with wardrobe care, packing, unpacking, and personal item arrangements when required.
• Prepare rooms and guest areas before family or guest arrival.
• Handle tea, coffee, refreshments, and beverage service as per family preferences.
• Support event arrangements, private dinners, and family gatherings.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, kitchen, drivers, and other household staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Monitor household supplies related to service areas, pantry, and guest requirements.
• Ensure all service equipment, glassware, crockery, cutlery, and silverware are clean, polished, and properly stored.
• Follow the family’s preferences, routines, cultural requirements, and privacy expectations.
• Maintain full confidentiality and discretion at all times.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Butler, Senior Butler, Head Waiter, Guest Service Executive, F&B Service Supervisor, or similar role.
• Previous experience in private families, VIP households, luxury villas, royal families, 5-star hotels, fine dining restaurants, or luxury hospitality is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of luxury service standards, table setting, food and beverage service, and guest handling.
• Excellent grooming, personal presentation, and professional etiquette.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Ability to work respectfully in a private family environment.
• Flexible with working hours based on family requirements, guests, and events.
• Calm, polite, patient, and service-oriented personality.
• Ability to work well with other household staff and follow instructions from the House Manager or family representative.
• Must be trustworthy, discreet, reliable, and respectful of privacy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Butler training or hospitality certification.
• Experience in luxury hotels, private residences, royal households, or UHNW family environments.
• Basic knowledge of beverages, fine dining service, table arrangements, and guest protocol.
• UAE or GCC private household experience is an advantage.
