Business Unit Director – Paints & Coatings

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the business unit's strategy, growth plans, and annual business objectives.
• Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion across retail, distribution, and project sales channels.
• Identify and secure new clients, projects, distributors, dealers, and strategic partnerships.
• Build strong relationships with contractors, consultants, developers, architects, and key decision-makers.
• Lead and manage sales, operations, supply chain, and customer service functions within the business unit.
• Monitor budgets, profitability, KPIs, and overall business performance.
• Ensure effective product positioning, pricing strategies, and market competitiveness.
• Recruit, lead, and develop high-performing teams to achieve business targets.
• Identify new products, market opportunities, and growth initiatives.
• Report business performance and strategic initiatives to Sendian Group Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
• MBA is preferred.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in Paints, Coatings, Building Materials, Construction Chemicals, or related industries.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership position managing profit and loss (P&L).
• Proven track record in revenue generation, business development, and market expansion.
• Strong network within the construction, contracting, consulting, and building materials sectors.
• GCC market experience is mandatory.
• Strong leadership, commercial, negotiation, and operational management skills.
