Role overview

Supports operational transformation, process improvement, and operating model initiatives across Ascot Operations.

Analyzes work across internal teams and BPO partners; documents workflows and helps establish process ownership, controls, handoffs, and governance.

Supports the EXL operating model transition and broader standardization, automation, documentation quality, and process excellence.

The description says this is an in-office position with a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Document current- and future-state processes, maintain process maps and SOPs, and identify root causes, gaps, risks, duplication, and improvement opportunities.
  • Identify process variations, document common procedures, and help implement consistent ways of working across internal teams and strategic partners.
  • Coordinate vendor governance, including training, documentation, access, performance tracking, and continuous improvement.
  • Support stabilization and optimization of transitions involving strategic service partners (BPO).
  • Support operational readiness, process adoption, and continuous improvement during implementation of operating models, systems, lines of business, and capabilities.
  • Maintain process governance, documentation standards, controls, ownership, escalation paths, and reporting across operations and strategic partners.
  • Coordinate cross-functional process impacts, document risks and dependencies, and develop solution options with guidance from senior stakeholders.
  • Analyze process performance and recommend standardization, automation, AI enablement, and workflow modernization; lead defined initiatives with direction and support.
  • Support enterprise process redesign and operational transformation through analysis, facilitation, implementation planning, and outcome tracking.

Requirements and qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Finance, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required.
  • Prior experience in process analysis, process improvement, operational excellence, operating model design, BPO operations, or transformation is required, including process discovery and production of maps, SOPs, work instructions, and governance artifacts.
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, process mapping, documentation, and data analysis skills are required.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, workshop leadership, stakeholder coordination, structured problem solving, attention to detail, organization, and follow-through are required.
  • Three to five years of insurance or financial services experience is preferred; operational process and cross-functional team experience is helpful.
  • Visio, Lucidchart, Power Automate, or similar tool experience is a plus.

Work approach

  • Ascot expects employees to work confidently with AI-enabled tools, use sound judgment when interpreting insights, and adapt as technology evolves.
  • Curiosity, critical thinking, willingness to embrace change, collaboration, inclusivity, and accountability are valued.
