Business Intelligence (Sr.) Analyst - IT - Corporate Office (Austin, MN) / Eden Prairie, MN

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Required
• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, MIS, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, with demonstrated senior-level ownership of BI deliverables.
• Advanced proficiency with Tableau and/or Power BI, including dashboard design, calculated fields/DAX, and performance optimization.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, and query tuning.
• Experience extracting and preparing data from cloud data warehouses, particularly in tools like Google BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining semantic models / metrics layers for enterprise reporting.
• Proven ability to gather requirements directly from business stakeholders and deliver reporting solutions from concept to production.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent reporting initiatives.

• Experience with Data Science and/or AI for BI concepts and tools (e.g. Agentic AI, GenAI, ML)
• Experience with dimensional data modeling (star/snowflake schemas).
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Informatica, dbt, or similar).
• Experience with Python for data preparation or automation.
• Experience supporting [industry-specific — e.g., supply chain, sales/marketing, finance] analytics.
• Familiarity with data governance and data cataloging practices.
• Experience mentoring or informally leading other analysts.

• At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for the Business Intelligence (Sr.) Analyst role is between $98,100 – $167,325 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
