Role overview

Entry-level analyst on the central analytics team, supporting credit union initiatives and enterprise-wide BI solutions.

The role may support a range of business areas or focus on a single subject area; service-oriented support for credit union staff is important.

Schedule: Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Implement data visualizations and data storytelling with credit union strategists.
  • Answer basic questions about Tableau and data storytelling.
  • Support analytics for areas such as call centers, branches, underwriting, mortgages, and business accounts.
  • Interpret visualizations for credit union strategy and promote analytics standards.
  • Educate staff about data governance and understand how business processes affect the credit union.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience developing analytical solutions in a large or midsize company; at least two years in IT or analytics and two years on team-oriented projects.
  • Bachelor's in a STEM field or equivalent professional experience, typically four or more years in a STEM profession.
  • Strong SQL, PL/SQL, and ELT knowledge; able to manage tasks, solve problems, protect sensitive data, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with project-management processes, an enterprise data warehouse platform, a BI platform, and ticketing/project-management tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.

Platforms and subject knowledge

  • Relational databases, including Oracle and SQL Server; these platforms are desired.
  • Enterprise data warehouse platforms include Snowflake, Exadata, and Teradata.
  • At least one BI platform is required, such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or MicroStrategy.
  • Ticketing and project-management examples include Jira and Confluence.
  • Financial services, dashboard design and delivery, and data governance experience are desired.
