Role Description
This full-time remote Environmental Health Safety Specialist role at Tafalla Iron Foundry S.
Coop. focuses on developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive environment, health, and safety programs across the organization.
The specialist will conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Daily responsibilities include monitoring regulatory compliance, updating internal policies and procedures, maintaining EHS documentation, and preparing reports for leadership and regulatory bodies.
The role also involves coordinating incident investigations, tracking corrective actions, and promoting a culture of safety through training, communication campaigns, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
The specialist will work closely with operations, human resources, and management to ensure safe working practices, continuous improvement, and alignment with local and international EHS standards.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with the ability to apply best practices in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Workplace Safety, including risk assessment, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in Safety Training, including developing training materials, delivering remote and on-site sessions, and evaluating training effectiveness.
- Knowledge of relevant EHS laws, regulations, and standards, and experience maintaining accurate EHS records and reports.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to influence and engage colleagues at all levels.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field; relevant EHS certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP, ISO 45001/14001 knowledge) are a plus.
