Job Summary
The primary responsibilities of this role include developing the Middle East region, generating profits through sales growth, and achieving volume and margin targets.
It also involves supporting and implementing both short- and long-term strategies, executing tactical plans, and strengthening the company’s presence and product offering in assigned markets.
The role requires developing assigned accounts by providing a full service (pricing, samples, regulatory support, document management, etc.) for existing products.
It also encompasses introducing new products via presentations or demonstrations focused on end applications.
Finally, the role contributes to the establishment, development, and management of a distribution network in the region.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Kalsec’s primary contact in region.
- Responsible for growing sales volume of Kalsec’s main products (natural colourants, plant and spice extracts, natural antioxidants such as rosemary extract).
- Maintaining and developing the existing client portfolio.
- Prospecting and acquiring new clients.
- Further penetrating existing clients’ accounts through targeted prospecting.
- Regular market visits to:
- + Discuss and develop client and market strategies.
- + Achieve revenue goals through hands-on learning.
- Conduct sales visits and product demonstrations.
- Assess logistical needs to support market growth.
- Utilise Kalsec’s internal tools, data, and resources to achieve objectives.
- Monthly review of sales targets, project progress, portfolio size, key issues, and forecasts, to be reported to the Sales Director.
- Quarterly presentation of results (against budget, projects, pipeline, etc.) to management.
- Ongoing collection of information on pricing, product quality, applications, competitive activity, and recommendations for possible strategic adjustments.
- Collaborative development of annual account forecasts to meet or exceed profit targets set during strategic and budget planning.
- Collaboration with Technical, Marketing, and Business Units to:
- + Define sales strategies for new or modified products.
- + Develop activities to support product growth at trade shows.
- + Contribute to the development of promotional and advertising materials.
- Collaboration with internal support functions (customer service, regulatory, operations, technical, applications).
- Occasional cover for other sales colleagues as necessary.
- Active use of the Salesforce.com CRM platform to manage accounts, track project progress, and set an example for data updates.
- Uphold Kalsec’s VALUES in all responsibilities.
- Knowledge of company quality policy and objectives, particularly with respect to BRCGS food safety standards.
Required
- University degree or a minimum of eight years’ experience in B2B sales of industrial food ingredients.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Salesforce, Powerbi
- Fluent English required
- Arabic proficiency
Working Conditions
- Approximately 50% travel for client visits. Occasional trips to the UK, Netherlands, or elsewhere in the EU for meetings.
