Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Dubai.
The Business Development Manager will identify and develop new business opportunities across target markets, with a focus on personal care, coatings, and related segments.
Responsibilities
include building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, managing the sales pipeline, preparing and delivering product presentations, and negotiating commercial terms in coordination with internal stakeholders.
The role involves conducting market research, tracking industry trends, and providing feedback to product management and R&D to support new product development and portfolio optimization.
The Business Development Manager will also prepare sales forecasts, monitor key performance indicators, collaborate with global teams, and ensure that all activities align with company policies and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, key account management, or B2B sales within chemicals, personal care, coatings, or related industries.
- Strong skills in customer relationship building, consultative selling, and contract or price negotiation.
- Ability to conduct market research, analyze data, and translate insights into actionable commercial strategies.
- Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Organized and self-driven, with capability to manage a sales pipeline, meet targets, and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree is an advantage.
- Familiarity with specialty chemicals or active ingredients for hair care, skin care, sun care, paints and coatings, or food and healthcare is highly desirable.
- Comfort working in a multicultural, global environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams (R&D, supply chain, marketing, finance).
- Proficiency in standard business software tools (e.g., CRM systems, MS Office) and willingness to travel within the region as required.
