Role Description

This is a progression role for a proven Business Development Manager or Key Account Manager ready to step into their first Sales Manager position.

You will own the full commercial function — managing key accounts, developing the route-to-market strategy, coaching a growing sales team, and reporting directly to senior leadership.

You will be accountable for revenue, distribution, and the structural development of the sales department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a portfolio of key accounts across HORECA, Modern Trade, and specialty wellness channels
  • Develop and execute the channel-by-channel route-to-market strategy across UAE, KSA, and Qatar
  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of field sales executives and account managers
  • Identify and open new business opportunities, converting pipeline into contracted, active accounts
  • Negotiate ranging, listings, promotional programmes, and shelf/menu placement with buyers and operators
  • Set, track, and report on weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales KPIs
  • Manage sub-distributors and third-party sales agents: target-setting, performance reviews, and re-contracting
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, and operations to align commercial plans
  • Develop and present monthly sales performance reports to leadership
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date CRM pipeline at all times

Requirements

  • **Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or key account management**
  • **Background in Food & Beverage, FMCG, or a closely related industry — essential**
  • **Valid UAE driving licence — essential**
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets
  • Experience managing or mentoring sales teams is a strong advantage
  • Hands-on knowledge of HORECA and/or Modern Trade commercial environments
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus
  • Experience across GCC markets (UAE, KSA, Qatar) preferred
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and standard reporting tools
