Overview
- Scan Global Logistics LLC is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our Dubai team.
- Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, expanding our customer portfolio, and strengthening our market presence across the UAE, with a particular focus on Ras Al Khaimah (RAK).
- The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in freight forwarding and logistics sales, along with a well-established network and a minimum of five (5) years of business development experience in the RAK market.
- Develop and execute business growth strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the freight forwarding, logistics, and supply chain sectors.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure long-term customer retention and business growth.
- Expand the Company's client base through strategic prospecting, networking, referrals, and market engagement activities.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the Company's products, services, and value proposition to effectively promote solutions to prospective customers.
- Prepare and present commercial proposals, quotations, and business presentations tailored to customer requirements.
- Negotiate commercial terms, service agreements, and credit facilities with customers and key stakeholders.
- Identify customer needs and align suitable logistics solutions to support their business objectives.
- Research and evaluate market trends, customer requirements, competitive activity, and emerging business opportunities.
- Generate new sales leads through inbound inquiries, outbound prospecting, cold calling, email campaigns, client visits, and networking events.
- Open new customer accounts and coordinate customer onboarding processes, including the establishment of operating procedures and credit approvals.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Customer Service, and Pricing teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts and business development reports.
- Research target accounts, identify key decision-makers, and develop relationships to generate new business opportunities.
- Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Represent the Company at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings to enhance brand visibility and market presence.
