Business Development Lead

Genesis Capital is a Web3 venture and advisory firm.

We back founders others miss — combining direct investment, strategic investor introductions, GTM access, and full execution support for projects raising and scaling in Web3.

We work across DeFi, RWA, infrastructure, payments, and stablecoins alongside a US-based family office, and maintain an active network of 500+ global VCs, angels, and institutional investors.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Lead to drive deal flow, build strategic partnerships, and expand the Genesis Capital network across Web3 and traditional finance.

This is not a junior role.

We need someone who has been in the rooms, understands how capital moves in Web3, and can open doors independently from day one.

You will work directly with the founding team and be a core part of how Genesis Capital grows its portfolio, partner network, and market presence.

What You Will Do

  • Source and qualify inbound and outbound deal flow, identifying serious Web3 projects that align with the Genesis Capital investment and advisory thesis
  • Build and manage relationships with VCs, family offices, angels, and institutional investors across global markets including the UK, UAE, Southeast Asia, and North America
  • Identify, approach, and onboard new strategic marketing and GTM partners as part of the Genesis Capital advisory hub model
  • Represent Genesis Capital at key Web3 events, conferences, and investor dinners — building relationships that convert to deal flow and partnerships
  • Work closely with the founding team on deal structuring, term negotiation, and partnership agreements
  • Develop and maintain a structured pipeline using CRM tools, tracking conversations, introductions, and deal progress
  • Identify new market opportunities and verticals where Genesis Capital can expand its presence and value proposition

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years of business development experience in Web3, you understand the ecosystem, the players, and how deals actually get done
  • An existing network of relationships with founders, VCs, angels, or ecosystem partners that you can activate immediately
  • Proven track record of closing partnerships, deals, or relationships that generated measurable outcomes
  • Strong understanding of Web3 fundraising structures, token rounds, SAFTs, equity, hybrid arrangements
  • Comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving, founder-led environment
  • Excellent communicator, written and verbal, who can represent Genesis Capital credibly in any room
  • Experience attending and networking at major Web3 events (TOKEN2049, Consensus, EthCC etc)
  • Ambitious, self-directed, and genuinely excited about Web3 and where it is heading
  • Nice to Have
  • Existing relationships with exchanges, launchpads, or Web3 marketing agencies
  • Experience working with or advising early-stage Web3 projects through a raise
  • Based in or able to travel regularly to Dubai, London, or Singapore
  • Active presence and following on X / LinkedIn within the Web3 space
