Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in the Doha Metropolitan Area.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with corporate and individual clients, and promoting insurance solutions that meet client needs.
Daily activities include prospecting and lead generation, attending client meetings, preparing proposals and quotations, negotiating terms in coordination with underwriting teams, and following up to ensure successful onboarding.
The role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders to develop sales strategies, track market trends, and provide feedback on products and services.
The Business Development Manager is also expected to meet defined sales targets, maintain accurate records in CRM tools, and represent the company at industry events and networking forums.
Qualifications
- Strong business development and sales skills, including prospecting, lead generation, and relationship management.
- Solid understanding of insurance brokerage services, risk management concepts, and commercial or personal lines insurance products.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities, with capacity to explain complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems, productivity tools, and basic data analysis to track performance and client activity.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field; relevant insurance or sales certifications are an advantage.
- Previous experience in insurance, financial services, or B2B sales within the region is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple opportunities, and meet defined revenue and growth targets.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an asset for client engagement in the local market.
