Role overview

LimeTech Middle East is establishing a Doha business focused on industrial, energy and engineering project support.

The Business Development Manager will build the Qatar business from the ground up, working with company directors, Qatari partners and the UK delivery team.

This is a hands-on business-building role, not management of an established account portfolio.

Services

LimeTech supplies people, equipment, training and specialist support for contractors delivering industrial and energy projects.

Services include mechanical and electrical personnel, HSE professionals, supervisors, painting and coatings personnel, rope-access technicians and general operatives.

Offerings include confined-space rescue and management, gas detection, breathing apparatus, safety equipment supply and maintenance, and user training.

Specialist services include rope access, coatings repairs, high-pressure jetting, managed HV installation and testing, and outsourced site HSE teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop contractor relationships across construction, maintenance, shutdowns, industrial services, power, oil and gas, fabrication and marine work.
  • Identify specific customer needs and opportunities, such as shutdown rescue cover, specialist personnel, equipment management and defined electrical work packages.
  • Manage sales from first contact through meetings, enquiries, proposals, negotiation and contract award within agreed commercial authority.
  • Work with Qatari partners to turn introductions into meetings, clear requirements and dated next steps.
  • Coordinate scope, pricing, personnel, equipment and delivery readiness with the UK team, making deliverable commitments.
  • Build repeat business through clear handovers, customer contact and follow-up; maintain an accurate pipeline and sales forecast.
  • Coordinate supplier registration and prequalification when required to support real opportunities.

Candidate requirements

  • Already based in Doha, with a proven record of winning business in Qatar in industrial services, engineering, technical workforce supply, maintenance, safety equipment or a related field.
  • Established contractor relationships and ability to build new ones with project managers, contract managers, maintenance teams and subcontract buyers.
  • Commercial judgement on margins, payment terms, buying processes and opportunity qualification.
  • Self-directed and practical, able to arrange meetings, visit sites, prepare proposals and follow through.
  • Strong business English and clear communication with customers, local partners and the UK technical team.

Preferred background

  • Experience with UK engineering or industrial-services businesses and experience helping establish or grow a regional operation would be useful.
  • Arabic language skills are an advantage.

Location

  • The role is for someone already based in Doha.
