About the Role

This is a role for closers.

For people who don't just open doors — they walk through them, build what's on the other side, and come back with volume.

As our BD for Gate Pay, you'll own merchant acquisition and ecosystem partnerships from end to end.

You'll convert Web2 businesses into crypto payment adopters, build a pipeline of high-value partners, and directly drive the transaction volume that defines our growth.

This is a highly commercial, revenue-driven position for someone who understands crypto payment flows and knows how to turn relationships into results.

What You'll Do

  • Identify, approach, and onboard merchants to adopt Gate Pay as their payment and settlement solution
  • Drive the conversion of Web2 merchants into crypto-enabled payment use cases — payments, remittance, on/off-ramp flows, and beyond
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of crypto-native merchants, platforms, and high-volume payment users
  • Establish and grow partnerships with wallets, PSPs, fintech platforms, and crypto infrastructure providers
  • Drive transaction volume (GMV) by enabling real, recurring payment use cases across your network
  • Own the full sales cycle — from first outreach to close, integration, and long-term account growth
  • Work closely with merchants post-onboarding to ensure they're set up for sustained success
  • Continuously identify new merchant segments and opportunities to expand crypto payment adoption

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of Business Development or Sales experience, with strong exposure to crypto, Web3, or digital assets
  • A track record in merchant acquisition, payment partnerships, or BD within web3 ecosystems
  • A proven network in at least one of the following: Web2 merchants (e-commerce, digital services, cross-border businesses); crypto-native merchants or platforms; PSPs, fintechs, or payment infrastructure players
  • The ability to turn relationships into measurable transaction volume and revenue — not just meetings
  • A bias for execution, a results-driven mindset, and the hunger to move fast
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin
