Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Business Development – Freight Forwarding role based in Doha, Qatar.

The role focuses on identifying, developing, and managing new and existing freight forwarding business opportunities across air, sea, and land.

Responsibilities include prospecting and visiting potential clients, preparing and presenting customized logistics solutions, negotiating rates and service agreements, and following up on leads to close deals.

The position also involves coordinating with internal operations and pricing teams to ensure accurate quotations, smooth shipment execution, and high service quality.

The Business Development professional will regularly track sales pipelines, monitor market trends and competitor activities, and provide timely reports and forecasts to management.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of freight forwarding and freight transportation processes, including multimodal solutions.
  • Experience in forwarding and export operations, with the ability to design efficient shipping and consolidation plans.
  • Proven customer service skills, with a focus on building long-term client relationships and managing key accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability in business development, B2B sales, or account management within logistics or related industries.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English; Arabic or other regional languages are an advantage.
  • Familiarity with GCC and international trade regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools for managing pipelines, quotations, and client records.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and travel locally for client meetings and market visits.
