Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Executive role based in Lagos.

The Business Development Executive will identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on growing telKosh’s MVAS and bulk SMS portfolio across target industries.

Daily responsibilities include prospecting and lead generation, conducting client meetings, delivering sales presentations and product demos, and preparing proposals and quotations.

The role involves managing the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract closure, as well as maintaining and expanding relationships with existing accounts to drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

The Business Development Executive will collaborate closely with internal teams such as marketing, product, and operations to align client requirements, ensure service quality, and achieve revenue targets while maintaining accurate records in CRM and preparing regular sales reports and forecasts.

Qualifications

  • Proven New Business Development and Lead Generation skills, including prospecting, pipeline management, and opportunity qualification.
  • Strong Business acumen with the ability to understand MVAS, bulk SMS, and conversational AI solutions and translate them into client value.
  • Effective Communication skills, including clear presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Experience in Account Management, with a focus on client retention, relationship building, and revenue growth within existing accounts.
  • Prior experience in telecom, MVAS, SaaS, or related technology/services sales is highly beneficial.
  • Comfort working with CRM tools and basic sales reporting, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented professional with the ability to work on-site with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience required minimum 1 years
