Business Development Director - Service Logistics MEA

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop growth plans and target accounts; identify and assess opportunities in priority markets and sectors.
• Lead Data Centre Logistics ecosystem growth in the Middle East and assess opportunity fit with DHL Service Logistics.
• Manage RFQs, coordinate internal contributors, and lead end-to-end sales processes to commercial and quality standards.
• Develop customer relationships, understand business needs, and act as the interface with internal functions.
• Analyze data, prepare competitive proposals and business cases, present solutions, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
• Collaborate with the global team on customer targeting, knowledge sharing, and commercial best practices.

Candidate requirements

• Proven business development or general management experience in complex supply chain environments; aftermarket logistics focus preferred.
• Experience in one or more focus sectors: Technology, Data Centre, Medical Devices, Automobility, or New Energy.
• MEA regional experience and willingness to travel approximately 25%, with occasional intercontinental travel.
• Strong business and financial acumen, relationship-building, stakeholder management, organization, planning, and presentation skills.
• Able to lead C-level conversations; brings logical thinking, creative problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Fluent English is essential; Arabic fluency is an advantage.
