Business Analyst

Role summary

Requirements, design, and implementation

• Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for CDS and CCMS enhancements; interview users and analyze processes and future needs.
• Translate business rules and requirements into functional specifications, configure modules, and maintain traceability to deliverables.
• Collaborate on solution design, configuration, and integration; serve as functional subject matter expert through design, development, and implementation.
• Facilitate complex discussions, resolve ambiguity, identify risks and mitigations, and support teams responsible for design, configuration, and maintenance.
• Validate solutions with architecture, legal, and information security teams, including architecture, privacy, contract, and cybersecurity considerations.
• Lead process improvement, improve documentation, recommend system enhancements, and coordinate project delivery with project managers and other team members.

Testing, quality, and support

• Develop detailed test scripts, coordinate user acceptance testing, and manage and prioritize defects and enhancements identified during testing.
• Develop change management plans and create training and support documentation for end users and administrators.

Required qualifications

• Proven Business Analyst experience in capital markets and at least five years performing requirements analysis across business functional areas and mapping requirements.
• Experience leading analysis and design sessions to elicit outcome-based use cases and user stories, and demonstrated ability to gather and define requirements.
• Experience with waterfall and Agile project methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills; ability to present solution alternatives to business and technology stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• University degree in a technology-related field or business.

Preferred skills

• AI automation, Microsoft Office or Google Suite expertise, and experience testing with automated tools are listed as nice to have.

Salary

• Salary range is CAD 120,000 to CAD 130,000 per year; the offered amount may vary based on relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
