Role overview
Business Analyst – Product Data & PIM/MDM role focused on improving how product information is managed, structured, governed, and distributed.
Works between business teams and technology, gathering needs and translating them into practical solutions.
Business analysis and stakeholder management
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, E-commerce, Operations, IT, and other departments to understand business needs.
- Gather and document business, functional, and data requirements; identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Develop workflows, process maps, business rules, and functional specifications; liaise between stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors.
Product data and solution delivery
- Support Syndigo PIM migration and implementation; define product data requirements, attributes, taxonomies, hierarchies, and business rules.
- Analyze PIM, ERP, e-commerce, and retailer data flows; support data quality, governance, mapping, migration, and integration.
- Coordinate project priorities, deliverables, and dependencies; support testing, UAT, issue resolution, and go-live.
- Identify process improvement, automation, and AI-efficiency opportunities.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of business analysis, business systems analysis, or related experience.
- Strong requirements-gathering and cross-functional stakeholder experience; understanding of PIM, MDM, ERP, e-commerce, or enterprise business systems.
- Knowledge of product data, governance, integrations, and migration; strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage priorities independently and drive initiatives forward.
- French and another language are required for communication with colleagues, clients, and suppliers; the other language is not specified.
- Syndigo, EnterWorks, Salsify, retail, consumer products, e-commerce, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Power BI, Fabric, and AI automation experience are assets.
