Role Description
The Bus Driver role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Bus Driver will be responsible for safely transporting employees and/or authorized passengers between accommodation, construction sites, and other designated locations according to assigned schedules.
Daily tasks include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, monitoring vehicle conditions, and promptly reporting any maintenance or safety issues.
The role involves following traffic laws and company safety procedures, practicing defensive driving, and ensuring that all passengers adhere to safety guidelines.
The Bus Driver will also keep the vehicle clean and presentable, maintain basic trip logs or records as required, and provide courteous customer service to passengers and site personnel.
Qualifications
- Strong driving skills in operating buses and similar commercial vehicles, with experience in truck driving considered an advantage.
- Proficiency in defensive driving and safe driving practices in urban and construction-site environments.
- Background in driver training or willingness to participate in ongoing safety and compliance training.
- Customer service mindset with the ability to interact respectfully and professionally with passengers and colleagues.
- Valid and appropriate UAE driving license for buses, with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of local traffic regulations and road safety standards in the United Arab Emirates.
- Ability to work full-time shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overtime as required by project schedules.
- Basic reading and writing skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
- Physical ability to sit for extended periods, assist passengers when needed, and conduct basic vehicle checks.
- Previous experience as a bus or commercial vehicle driver, preferably in construction or related industries, is an advantage.
