Overview
A breakfast cook is responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast menu items efficiently while maintaining quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast dishes such as eggs, pancakes, waffles, sandwiches, pastries, and breakfast platters
- Set up and stock cooking stations before service
- Ensure food presentation and consistency meet brand standards
- Monitor food inventory and communicate shortages
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workstations
- Follow hygiene and food safety procedures
- Assist with prep work and kitchen closing duties
- Work efficiently during busy breakfast rush hours
& Requirements
- Experience in breakfast or brunch cooking preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- Team player with good communication skills
- Flexibility to work early morning shifts
Preferred Experience
- Experience with brunch concepts, specialty eggs, artisan bakery items, or café-style service
- Familiarity with coffee pairings and European-style breakfast menus is a plus
