Bookkeeper / Finance Operations Analyst

Role Overview

Accounting and Close

• Own month-end close for both entities, including account reconciliations, accruals, adjustments, and fixed-schedule close.
• Maintain QuickBooks, including transactions, chart of accounts, and vendor and customer records.
• Manage invoicing, collections, bills, payments, vendor statement reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution.
• Support outside accountants with year-end close, tax preparation, lender requests, and audit requests.

Reporting and Process Improvement

• Produce monthly and quarterly P&L, cash, AR aging, and operating-metric reporting packages for leadership.
• Maintain spreadsheets and dashboards using QuickBooks, payroll, enrollment, and CRM data.
• Improve recurring finance and back-office workflows through tools, process changes, automation, and SOPs.

Candidate Requirements

• Requires 3+ years of bookkeeping or staff accounting experience, including month-end close ownership.
• Requires strong QuickBooks and advanced Excel or Google Sheets reporting skills.
• Requires a record of accurate management reporting, attention to detail, deadline management, and professional communication.
• Process improvement, automation, project management, payroll, and HR administration experience are preferred.
• An associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business is preferred; equivalent experience is welcome.
