Role Overview
Arrcus develops the Arrcus Connected Edge platform for flexible, scalable business networking.
This role focuses on network platform software development in Bangalore, India.
The position works across software, hardware, and cloud environments with customer and product teams.
Responsibilities
- Understand new requirements with customer and product teams.
- Write feature specifications and detailed designs.
- Implement features and product improvements.
- Triage and resolve internal and customer-found issues.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party libraries.
- Review feature specifications, code, test plans, and engineering documents.
- Improve feature and solution performance and scalability.
- Interview, onboard, and mentor new hires.
- Track and report project status through customer delivery.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
- 16 or more years of relevant hands-on development experience.
- Ability to write high-quality C, C++, Go, or Python code.
- Experience with some of the listed networking, operating-system, data-plane, and virtualization technologies.
Technical Qualifications
- Deep understanding of pipeline architecture for one or more ASIC families, including Broadcom XGS.
- Experience architecting or developing L3 technologies such as IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, Segment Routing, VRF, and L3VPN.
- Experience with QoS technologies including queueing, classification, policing, marking, shaping, ACL, ECN, and WRED.
- Experience with L2 technologies including STP, LLDP, sFlow, LAG, and MLAG.
- Knowledge of Broadcom SDK, P4, DPDK, Linux internals, memory management, and network stacks.
- Knowledge of RIB, FIB, HAL, high availability, ISSU, Linux networking, and kernel networking.
- Experience with Debian build and packaging, containers, and virtual machines.
