Role Description

The Biomedical Service Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar.

The role involves installing, commissioning, and configuring biomedical and laboratory equipment at customer sites, ensuring correct and safe operation.

The engineer will perform routine preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair activities, as well as respond to breakdowns and service calls in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

include providing technical support and training to end users, preparing service reports, and coordinating with suppliers and the internal team for spare parts and technical documentation.

The role also includes participating in equipment demonstrations, assisting with acceptance testing, and supporting compliance with relevant safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong Maintenance & Repair skills for biomedical and laboratory equipment, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support to diagnose faults, resolve issues, and guide users on proper equipment use.
  • Experience in Field Service, including on-site installations, commissioning, and customer visits across various facilities.
  • Effective Communication skills to interact with healthcare professionals, internal teams, and international suppliers.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Familiarity with hospital and laboratory environments, safety standards, and quality procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Qatar for on-site service visits.
  • Relevant industry certifications or training on specific medical equipment brands are an advantage.
