Full-time, on-site Biomedical Engineer role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates.
Oversees medical equipment service and supports safe and efficient operation in a healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee installation, testing, calibration, and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate repairs with vendors.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and collaborate with clinical staff to assess equipment performance.
- Provide user training on medical devices and support introduction of new technologies.
- Assist with compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies.
Qualifications
- Strong Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering foundation and ability to apply engineering principles in healthcare.
- Proficiency managing medical equipment, including installation, calibration, and performance verification of diagnostic and therapeutic devices.
- Hands-on experience with equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline is mandatory.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, safety standards, and medical device quality requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
- Communication, collaboration, problem-solving, attention to detail, and task-prioritization skills are required.
- Hospital or clinical experience in the UAE or GCC region is advantageous.
