Role overview

BIM review and coordination

• Review contractor BIM Execution Plans, MIDPs, TIDPs, models, and digital deliverables against project requirements, EIRs, ISO 19650 principles, and client standards.
• Monitor BIM implementation, information exchanges, CDE workflows, and delivery against approved milestones.
• Review and coordinate models for roads, earthworks, drainage, sewerage, water, irrigation, lighting, telecommunications, and other utilities.
• Verify models against design documents, shop drawings, site conditions, and construction requirements; identify clashes, constructability issues, data inconsistencies, and nonconformances.

Quality, site checks, and handover

• Review federated models, asset information, COBie data, asset registers, as-built models, and handover documentation.
• Inspect sites to verify construction progress and as-built information against BIM models; support design and construction coordination issue resolution.
• Prepare BIM review comments, compliance reports, and quality assessments; track observations and corrective actions through closure.
• Support the BIM Manager with construction-to-handover information management and digital asset delivery.

Education and experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Construction, Highway Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• At least three years of infrastructure or construction project experience, including at least two years of BIM experience, is required.
• Experience reviewing contractor BIM submissions on roads, earthworks, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects is required.

Technical skills and qualifications

• Knowledge of roads, grading, drainage, sewerage, potable water, irrigation, lighting, telecommunications, and utility coordination is required.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, Navisworks, Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar BIM and coordination platforms is required.
• Understanding of BIM Execution Plans, MIDP/TIDP reviews, CDE workflows, information standards, asset information requirements, and digital handover is required.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 principles and BIM quality assurance is required; strong model review, coordination, analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills are expected.
• Autodesk Certified Professional certification, BIM or ISO 19650 accreditation, project management certification, and relevant engineering body membership are desired.

Workplace

• The role is explicitly site-based in Abu Dhabi and includes site inspections.
