BIM Modeler - Mechanical Engineering

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex 3D BIM models for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure proper coordination and integration of mechanical systems with other building components
• Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts between mechanical and other building systems
• Create detailed shop drawings and construction documents from BIM models
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and project specifications
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise on BIM-related issues
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM processes
• Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies and best practices in mechanical engineering
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3-6 years’ BIM experience, with proven delivery history of LOD 350 Mechanical models in the UAE or GCC region.
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD MEP and BIM 360 / ACC platforms.
• Solid understanding of UAE building codes, construction methodologies, Site experience and local authority submission processes will be an added advantage.
• Strong technical knowhow of HVAC, Plumbing, and Firefighting systems.
• Proficient in clash detection, coordination workflows and BIM data management.
