Role Description
BIM Engineer (for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) will work on-site in Gurugram in a full-time capacity, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and coordinate detailed Building Information Models across project phases.
Daily responsibilities include creating and updating BIM models, preparing and reviewing construction drawings, and ensuring that design intent is accurately translated into coordinated documentation.
The role involves working closely with architecture, structural, and MEP teams to identify clashes, resolve coordination issues, and maintain model integrity and standards.
The BIM Engineer will support project managers with model-based quantities, design options, and documentation, while adhering to project timelines and quality benchmarks.
The position also includes contributing to the improvement of BIM standards, workflows, and best practices within the organization.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and methodologies, with experience developing and managing multi-disciplinary models.
- Ability to produce, interpret, and coordinate detailed construction drawings aligned with project standards and codes.
- Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and their coordination within BIM environments.
- Foundational understanding of architecture and civil engineering principles relevant to building design and construction.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Plumbing Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
- Experience with common BIM software platforms (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, or similar) and basic clash detection workflows.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage time and tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Prior experience in design or construction firms and familiarity with international standards and practices are advantageous.
