Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 3D BIM models for architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
- Prepare coordinated shop, detailed, and construction drawings; produce architectural layouts, reflected ceiling plans, joinery details, and fit-out drawings.
- Develop structural models and drawings for steel structures and fabrication works.
- Prepare HVAC ducting, chilled water piping, plumbing, drainage, and electrical layouts.
- Coordinate disciplines to identify and resolve clashes; review consultant drawings and incorporate comments and revisions.
- Prepare sections, elevations, details, schedules, and material take-offs as required.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and site teams; support site execution with drawings and technical issue resolution.
- Ensure drawings meet project specifications and applicable UAE authority requirements; maintain registers, revision records, and BIM documentation.
Required skills and software
- Autodesk Revit for Architecture, Structure, and/or MEP; AutoCAD 2D drafting and detailing; Navisworks for coordination and clash detection.
- BIM coordination and multidisciplinary drawing coordination.
- Knowledge of shop, construction, and as-built drawings; ability to read architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- UAE construction standards and authority requirements are advantageous; steel detailing, BOQ preparation, and interior fit-out drawing experience are added advantages.
Qualifications and experience
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant BIM/design experience is preferred; the posting states 2–5 years preferred and a minimum of two years preferred.
- Expertise in one or more disciplines is welcome.
- Strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and coordination skills; ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Previous UAE construction or fit-out project experience is preferred.
