Billing Coordinator

Position summary

Responsibilities

• Process subcontractor invoices, obtain approvals, enter invoices in the accounting system, and update logs.
• Coordinate with Project Analysts on billing instructions and invoice approvals; process labor and subcontractor transfers.
• Create draft invoices, finalize them after approval, and prepare final copies for mailing and electronic filing.
• Modify or void prior-period invoices as instructed, including reissues, write-downs, and transfers.
• Post invoices and reconcile them with the invoice register.
• Help Project Analysts open new projects or phases.
• Gather reimbursable backup, attach it to invoices, and answer questions about the backup.
• Maintain electronic period job-costing records.

Requirements

• Associate degree in accounting or a similar field is required.
• 1–3 years of experience in an accounting department is required.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint experience is preferred.

Compensation

• The California pay range is $26–$30 per hour; the offered base pay may vary with job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
• Restricted stock units may be provided as part of compensation, depending on the position offered.
