Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Bike Courier role based in Abu Dhabi.
The Bike Courier is responsible for safely picking up, transporting, and delivering parcels and documents to customers within assigned routes and timeframes.
Day-to-day tasks include planning delivery routes, collecting shipments from hubs or client locations, obtaining signatures or proof of delivery, and updating delivery statuses in handheld devices or company systems.
The role involves communicating professionally with customers and colleagues, following all traffic and safety regulations, and handling packages with care to prevent loss or damage.
The Bike Courier also supports basic vehicle checks, reports incidents or delays, and adheres to Aramex’s service and sustainability standards.
Qualifications
- Valid motorbike license in the UAE, with a clean driving record and strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi roads and traffic regulations.
- Proven ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or maps, manage multiple deliveries, and prioritize time-sensitive shipments.
- Customer service skills, including clear communication, professional demeanor, and a focus on timely, accurate deliveries.
- Physical ability to ride for extended periods and handle loading, unloading, and lifting parcels as required.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read delivery notes, complete forms, and use handheld devices or mobile apps.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous courier, delivery, or logistics experience is an advantage; familiarity with safety and security procedures is beneficial.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or extended hours when operationally required.
