KBR is proud to work with its customers across the globe to provide technology, value-added services, and long-term operations and maintenance services to ensure consistent delivery with predictable results.

Trinzic is the future independent company to be created through the planned spin-off of KBR's Mission Technology Solutions business, expected in January 2027. Our people work at the frontier of what is possible, delivering solutions in challenging environments and advancing some of the world's highest-priority national security and space missions.

Backed by decades of mission success, deep expertise, and trusted partnerships, Trinzic will launch as a global organization with more than 18,000 employees supporting customers around the world. Join us at a defining moment and help shape the future of a company built to tackle complex challenges and make a meaningful impact.

Candidates who join KBR's Mission Technology Solutions business before the spin-off will transition to Trinzic when the separation is complete and will not need to reapply for employment.

The Role

Are you a Bid Manager with a passion for winning work in complex, highly regulated industries? Join our Defence Nuclear Technology Solutions (DNTS) business at a pivotal moment in our journey. As we prepare to transition from KBR to Trinzic in January, we're building a newly independent organisation with ambitious growth plans across the defence and nuclear sectors. In this role, you'll lead complex bids and strategic pursuits, working with multidisciplinary teams to secure critical programmes for our customers while helping to shape the future success of the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and manage multiple bids and proposals from initial opportunity assessment through to submission and award.
  • Develop bid strategies aligned with customer requirements, capture plans and business objectives.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across technical, operational, commercial, legal and supply chain functions.
  • Manage bid schedules, governance reviews, deliverables and submission activities to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Facilitate bid kick-off meetings, workshops and review sessions to maintain momentum and alignment.
  • Review and challenge proposal content, ensuring submissions are clear, compelling, compliant and competitive.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to develop winning solutions.
  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities throughout the bid process.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, procurement regulations and internal governance processes.
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to the continuous improvement of bid management processes, tools and best practice.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience managing complex bids and tender submissions within Defence, Nuclear, Government, Infrastructure or other highly regulated sectors.
  • A strong understanding of public sector procurement and competitive tendering processes.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating contributions from multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management, planning and organisational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop high-quality customer-facing proposals.
  • The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional standards.
  • Knowledge of bid management methodologies such as APMP, Shipley or equivalent approaches.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Qualification in Project Management, Commercial Management, Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • APMP Foundation certification or significant bid management experience.

Desirable

  • APMP Practitioner certification.
  • Shipley certification or training.

Why Join Us?

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in securing strategically important programmes within the defence and nuclear sectors. You'll work alongside talented technical and commercial teams, contribute to major national projects and help shape the future growth of the business.
