Role Description
The Barista Trainer is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, responsible for training and developing baristas to deliver consistent, high-quality coffee and beverage service.
The role involves designing and delivering training programs covering coffee preparation techniques, equipment operation, food safety standards, and customer service best practices.
The Barista Trainer will conduct practical demonstrations, coaching sessions, and assessments to ensure baristas meet brand and quality standards.
Daily responsibilities include updating training materials, monitoring performance on the shop floor, providing feedback to baristas and management, and supporting new store openings or staff onboarding.
The role also includes maintaining training records, recommending improvements to service processes, and helping create a positive, service-focused workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Strong technical barista skills, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, manual brewing methods, and familiarity with café equipment and maintenance.
- Experience in training or mentoring staff, with the ability to design and deliver engaging workshops, demonstrations, and on-the-job coaching.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and basic health and safety practices in a café or hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to give constructive feedback and work effectively with diverse teams.
- Customer service orientation, understanding of hospitality and retail operations, and commitment to consistent guest experience.
- Organizational and time-management skills, including maintaining training schedules, records, and follow-up action plans.
- Previous experience as a senior barista, barista trainer, or café supervisor; experience in high-volume or specialty coffee environments is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Doha and adapt to a multicultural work setting; proficiency in English required, additional languages are a plus.
- Basic computer skills for preparing training materials, reports, and handling digital communication; familiarity with POS systems is beneficial.
