Barista Supervisor

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities1. Team Supervision & Leadership

• Supervise and guide baristas during daily operations
• Assign duties and ensure smooth shift execution
• Train new and existing staff on coffee preparation, customer service, and hygiene standards
• Motivate the team to maintain high performance and productivity

2. Coffee & Beverage Quality Control

• Prepare and oversee preparation of coffee and beverages as per brand standards
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning
• Maintain high-level knowledge of espresso machines, grinders, and brewing methods
• Monitor product quality throughout the shift

3. Customer Service Excellence

• Ensure excellent customer experience at all times
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally
• Maintain a welcoming and friendly café environment

4. Operations Management

• Manage day-to-day café operations independently when required
• Oversee opening and closing procedures
• Ensure POS system accuracy and cash handling integrity
• Prepare daily sales reports and shift summaries

5. Inventory & Stock Control

• Monitor stock levels and ensure timely ordering
• Track usage of ingredients and reduce wastage
• Coordinate with management for supply requirements

6. Hygiene & Compliance

• Ensure cleanliness of café, equipment, and workstations
• Follow Saudi food safety and hygiene regulations
• Conduct regular checks for safety and sanitation compliance

7. Staff Scheduling & Coordination

• Assist in preparing duty rosters and shift schedules
• Ensure proper staff coverage during peak hours
• Coordinate with management for workforce planning

Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Barista
• At least 1 year experience in a supervisory role (preferred/mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of specialty coffee preparation and latte art
• Leadership and team management skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of POS systems and basic cash handling
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and peak hours

Preferred Skills

• Arabic and English communication (preferred in KSA market)
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Training and coaching experience
• Strong attention to detail
