Overview

Job Summary

Key ResponsibilitiesBarge Stability & Marine Operations

• Oversee barge stability, tank management, and ensure watertight integrity at all times
• Supervise ballast operations and coordinate with Ballast Control Operator (BCO)
• Monitor and manage anchor positioning and spud system operations
• Ensure safe execution of all marine and deck operations

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce company safety policies and offshore marine safety standards
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) are implemented
• Ensure all Marine Fire & Safety equipment is functional and properly maintained (lifeboats, fire detection, firefighting systems)
• Ensure compliance with PTW (Permit to Work) and operational procedures

Crew Management & Supervision

• Supervise, train, and allocate tasks to deck crews, crane operators, and roustabouts
• Monitor crew performance, manage discipline, and resolve conflicts professionally
• Ensure crew adherence to operational and safety standards

Logistics & Maintenance

• Supervise loading/unloading, storage, and handling of cargo and consumables
• Manage preventative maintenance programs for hull, deck machinery, and superstructure
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment readiness

Reporting & Communication

• Prepare daily reports on barge operations, cargo movement, manpower, and fuel consumption
• Maintain effective communication with onshore management, vessel masters, and other marine units
• Report operational issues, risks, and maintenance needs promptly

Requirements

• Minimum **5 years of experience** as a **Barge Supervisor / Marine Supervisor** (Offshore experience mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of **barge stability, ballast systems, spud systems, and anchoring operations**
• Good understanding of marine safety standards and offshore regulations
• Proven ability to supervise crews and manage offshore operations
• Strong reporting and communication skills
• Marine/offshore certifications are preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Offshore safety certifications (BOSIET/FOET, HUET, etc.)
• Experience working in Oil & Gas offshore projects
• Knowledge of PTW systems and risk management procedures
