Job Scope
The Bar Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar section through maintaining high standards of service, managing staff, controlling costs, and ensuring a great customer experience.
He/she manages the purchases and stock levels of the bar, develop and update the drinks menu and confirm compliance with recipes, hygiene and quality standards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, prioritize, organize, and control the day-to-day operations of the bar;
- Manage bar employees and ensure a smooth operation as per the company s standards;
- Provide ongoing trainings and coaching to staff to enhance their knowledge and abilities;
- Responsible of the business and legal aspects, such as managing budgets, and setting goals;
- Develop drinks and mocktail menu and review the service quality;
- Observe PAR level to monitor stock demand and supply regularly;
- Set and enforce quality and safety controls at all times;
- Initiate and suggest promotional events based on customers experiences and preferences;
- Stay updated on industry trends, new ingredients, and cocktail techniques to enhance your mixology skill;
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise bar staff.
- Schedule shifts and manage staff rotations to ensure adequate coverage.
- Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and address performance issues.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service and ensure all customers have a positive experience.
- Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally and effectively.
- Interact with customers, build rapport, and monitor customer satisfaction.
- Control costs by minimizing wastage and theft.
- Plan and execute special events, promotions, and theme nights in cooperation the GM and the operation team on site.
- Monitor for any issues related to over-serving customers.
- Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Maintain and troubleshoot bar equipment and fixtures.
- Handle emergency situations and follow safety procedures.
